Gone are those wounds with a smile,
Gone are those times with a sigh,
Gone are those nights sleep-deprived,
Lost in tears, lost in fear,
Her heart wept, wept as much as it could
She knew those wounds are hard,
they are ever living in her
She knew they are eating her,
She knew her heart beat would stop,
She knew each and everything.
One day, as the sun began to set,
Her wounds vanished,
For once, she felt a tug,
There she saw a ray of hope.
A hope that brought glow,
A glimpse of rainbow,
Laughter and joy everywhere,
And then she realized
It was a dream, because
her wounds still cried: I am still alive.
